I was wondering what people are doing to correct the lack of sharpness people find on there K10D. What settings do you use to counter this?

Also is the image quailty realy that bad on the K10D.
Is it bad enough for a potential buyer not to choose the K10D and go for a nikon or a cannon instead?

I think the image quality for the K10D is very good and has a lot of potential - it's just that you have to be prepared to put a bit of work in tweaking the images or settings. A few minutes in Photoshop with the Unsharp mask tool can work wonders!

It all depends what sort of look you're after and how much work you're willing to put it. If you want bright, vibrant, consumer-friendly images out of a DSLR with no work, then something like a Nikon D40(x) is a better bet.

I looking at either the K10D or the Nikon D80 and im having the time of my life trying to choose one. Your reviews have helped alot but im sorry to say im still in a deadlock on which camera to purchase

If you have older Pentax lenses you'd like to use, get the K10D, otherwise go for the D80.
