I got this on my facebook homepage... I really wish I had waited to buy this instead of the k200D... Anyway check it out..

Im also wondering about its size.. is it about the same as the KM because I found the KM to be quite small in my hands.

Here is one of the reviews

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCYlqRIV ... popt1cus05

... I liked the cam. It seems to have some very nice features and

I guess this one will be a very very tough competitor. No other DSLR, as for my knowledge goes, comes in different colours (like white, red and navy blue!)

If it has the same sensor as the A700/D300/D5000/D90 it will be great. Frankly, I'd rather Pentax made as many lenses as they colours and just stick to one colour

Im seriously considering upgrading to this already from the K200D. id love to have the K7 but its not within buget. The camera store that I bought my K200D at offers a half back garentee within 12 months. For example. I bought my K200D for around $900 with the kit lens so I could upgrade to the KX for only $250. The only downside is that the K-X is the same body as the KM (size wise) and it is not wheather sealed (even though i've never needed wheather sealing)

A tough decision i guess.

Really? Don't doubt your purchase whenever a new camera is released... If you do that you will never be happy with any camera you buy.

Top LCD and weather sealings are serious advantages the K200D has over the K-x in my book. Much more worth than some extra mega pixels, movie mode and the option of chosing different body colours...

I think it has different purpose. Kx is designed to be as small as possible and for beginners in mind.

The k200d is more for serious folks that do a lot of outdoor stuff.

On the paper, Kx is much better tho.

better sensor (I think it is even better than K7) --> this will translate to image quality especially in low light.
live view and video recording
4.7 cont. shooting speed

I plan to sit back, read the reviews and do nothing until either my K10 in some way packs in through some unwanted happening (I have fallen a couple of times whilst holding it, fortunately for it I seem to hit the rocks, land in the sea or bounce off the tree routes first and protect it) or Pentax bring out something that tempts the cash out of my account.

The K7 is damn close but no cigar, it's a great camera according to the reviews but not yet enough to make the change happen in my household.

I would agree that weather sealing is a real help - I live in Wales :o)

And I love the top plate lcd :o)

I am kind of hoping that Sony will sell one of it's full frame sensors to Pentax - that would make me sit up and take notice :o)

Maybe everyone is right. Now that i've slept on it im thinking a bit more clearly now. The megapixel really wasnt the part that was louring me in, neither was the HD movie mode. What really got me was the Live View which would have been nice in a few situations i've been in, as well has the full HDR and other bonus picture modes that aren't in the K200D. Even though I usually use manual or AV mode most of the time, it's still nice to have the options when your in a particular situation.

The question you have to ask is

Would buying the new camera result in better pictures or more enjoyment?

If yes, buy it, if no, then spend your cash on days out or holidays using your camera or buy better lenses/ accessories etc

That's my opinion, doesn't mean it right but it is still my opinion :o)

I am pretty satisfied with my K20D, off course you can't compare that with K-x but even when K-7 came out I didn't think about upgrading. Maybe if Pentax makes FF DSLR I would make this a consideration but I would still keep K20D with me because both cameras would have some advantages and disadvantages comparing to each other.
About K-x i think it is nice little beginner camera how much I saw in the review video from Pentaxian but not for me. I don't need 100 different automatic and scene modes ( I like to do everything manually the way I want). I don't need in camera HDR and and HD video for the purpose of my photography. The only thing that I wish K20D has is little bit faster FPS, but again I have seen sport and wildlife photos made with full manual systems that are just amazing, you just need to know how to use it. And by the way I like big cameras, the bigger the camera the better feels in my hands.
