After discontinuing its R-D1 digital rangefinder a couple of years back Epson are about to launch the R-D1xG. Release is slated for April 9th though I'm not sure which countries will receive stock. In the meantime here's some information:

Compared to the new Panasonic G1's size of 124x84x45mm the R-D1xG doesn't set any records so I guess this camera will live or die by its "cool" factor, the quality of the glass that can be attached (Leica for those deep of pocket) and the performance of that 1.5x FOVCF APS-C sensor and, of course, the price. Kudos to Epson for keeping some interest going in what might be a quiet year for new cameras.
