I just bought an old Pentax MV1 with 50mm lense at a photo market for cheap. Has anyone use this camera? Unfortunately I noticed plenty of dust within the lense, hopefully it wont affect the pictures.

It seems to be a follow-up to the classic ME / ME Super and MX models - all of which I had the pleasure of owning as a teenager! Wonderful cameras and very happy memories...

Thanks Gordon,

I was able to download a use manual for the camera here

http://www.butkus.org/chinon/pentax/pentax_mv-1/pentax_mv-1.htm

Its surprisingly easy to use with the LED colors.

Green means Go
Yellow means Wait
Red means COMMUNISTS!

Going to try it out today. I am still bothered by the amount of dust inside the lense. If the pictures come out spotty do you guys think its a good idea to take it apart and clean it. I know its probably not a good idea but I am not sure if I want to spend the extra money getting it cleaned in a shop.

Don't take it apart! You'll never put it back together again - seriously!

Got some pictures developed and they look good. Quite happy with them and not a speck of dust can be seen. The lense will not be taken apart
