Hi Gordon.

Is there any chance you could enable avatars in the forums? Personally I find it much easier to remember who I'm communicating with when I can see their avatars.

Zorro.

Good plan - I'll sort it out in the very near future!

Oh boy(s)! Have you looked at other forums? The use of avatars can be as helpful as a peep-show
I think, that enabling PM (private messages) on this board is much more sensible!

Hi everyone, as you probably know, I enabled PM-ing a short while back.

As far as Avatars are concerned, do you prefer to link to an image, or choose one from a library?

Gordon

Hi Gordon. Much better to be able to link to an image I think. Preset avatars are a bit of a contradiction in terms I feel.

Zorro.

Yeah, you're right - and presets also need a new folder creating on the server...

Ok, as a test, I've enabled Avatars, but only as images linked to from another site. Do you fancy seeing if it's working ok?

Note this is just a test and if it doesn't work out, the feature may be disabled again!

That works great Gordon. Now people will find it much easier to disregard my ramblings, lol.

Thanks for this.

Zorro.

Edit your Profile but please stick to the size guidelines. They are there for a reason! 8)

.
Try right-clicking on the correctly sized photo at Flickr and selecting "Copy Image Location" (Firefox) or, from memory, "Properties" and copying the URL (IE).

Bob.
