Play.com and Picstop have good prices on Sandisk Extreme III and have both been selling for a long time. I assume they buy genuine stock.

Transcend is also a good buy (at least in Germany). They are currently at 75EUR for the 8GB SDHC class 6 card. I use them, completely satisfied...

Good point about the fake cards though. Many people have reported fakes being sold on ebay...

Yes I got an 4GB Ultra II from Amazon through one of their market place sellers. One thing I have to remind myself is that although you may pay £50 for a really good 4GB card, when I used slides I could spend that in film on one two week holiday. That 4GB card will be used again and again.

E-bay was really where I percieve the major risk to be, but until recently I was unaware of the problem existing, hence I thought others might be as naive/trusting as me.
