Hello guys. I recently received a Cannon 1100D as a gift and spent a day browsing forums trying to find one that would help me learn, while providing interesting discussion. And I found you, or did you find me?

I'm an Aussie living on the Côte d'Azur with my French girlfriend. Have had a long interest in photography but never followed through with it, until now.

I'm on a huge learning curve but have already read a lot of helpful information here, and look forward to learning even more.

A warm welcome to our forum Dice Man! And congratulations on your new camera! I'm sure we'll be able to help you if the learning curve turns out to be a little too steep at some point.
