Surfing web for 1080p video cam. I came across a comparision of video cams by Camera Labs. I wanted to comment on which I liked. Had to join to leave comment so here I am, a retired guy from Brighton, Ontario, Canada who is admittedly partial to Sony products and you guessed it I liked the Sony 1080p with the motorized super zoom from 28 to 560 mm zoom (20X zoom) which stretches the play back to 16:9. I liked the steadyness of the shot and the fact that while zooming in or out it never lost focus. I'm not sure of the significance of the "12Mbit/s" as Canon and others indicated 40 to 50Mbit/s. I've always bought a Sony and found it obselete in a short period of time and have begrudgingly kept the product until I could nolonger get batteries or tapes or what ever. My current Video Cam is a Sony HandyCam DCR-HC20 and the only difficulty with it is I'm finding digital tapes hard to find. (even local Walmart doesn't stock them any more) It is probably time to "UP"grade. I'd be more than happy to hear from you folks in the know about video cams in general or specifics,
