Now I expect everyone to tell me it has been like this for ages but I didn't look :P I've not seen those little images in search results before though...

You're safe on me :P There's very few images of me out there, and even less associated with my forum name here.

I wasn`t concerned about pics of you, it was googling your forum name with safe search off that had me worried.

Aha! Wondered how long it'd be until someone noticed! It's a new feature Google is rolling-out and I managed to get in on it earlyish. In the meantime, anyone wanting something similar on their results should create an About Me page on their site with a link to their Google+ profile, then add the link to that About Me page to their Google+ profile, checking the box which says the page is about them.

You'll also need a rel=author code in the About Me page link to Google+

Cool ! :)
It would be awesome in the future to see a some Facebook references in the Google search results, such as photos, informations & link to their pages. (since this Facebook thing is getting famous enough, that mobile phone companies are including a Facebook button on their products)

That's a neat feature, I noticed it a while back but didn't think much of it. Google+ is really becoming a big thing, eh?

I think Google's plan is to use the author image for every search result that's related to that Google plus member. So in the future, you'll see my author icon on search results which include youtube, flickr, facebook, etc...
