 Post subject: newbie very newbie

hello to all
this is my first camera other than the ones that you put in to be prossed so it's going to be a very steep learning curve for me :D

P.S my camera is a canon 1000d lens 18-55 f3.5 hope i got that right

Welcome aboard!

Why not have a look at the tutorials to get yourself started? You'll be surprised how simple the tasks are to carry out. Like Gordon advised in the videos, practice and fine tuning will get really good results. Since the tutorials were done using a Canon, I'd imagine there will be barely any difference at all in adjusting the controls.
