Just wanted to say hi...Hi! I've already posted a few questions so I figured I'd intro myself.

I'm a Sergeant in the Army and always had an affinity for pictures so I just invested in my first DSLR. I won't have it for 30 more days because I sent it home and I'm still in Afghanistan right now. Didn't get anything real fancy: Canon T2i and 18-135 IS kit lens and a basic accessory pack just to get me started for my vacation in June.

Want to do outdoor and nature work so I will have to work on getting me a nice 300mm or 400mm lens

So, what are everyone recommendations on free photo hosting? I was using Picasa for my computer graphics but I guess since GMail is blocked, it is affecting Picasa. I know there are quite a few out there, just wanted to see what everyone was happy with.

common ones to use are photobucket and flickr.

I started off with using photobucket and set it so that you can only look at that photo that I posted the link for, but not my other photos. Some family stuff I would rather keep more private. My wife can access the photbucket account with my username and password.


Then I started using flickr, this is where I post most of my general phots and anyone can look at those. Both have advantages and disadvantages, but overall both are pretty good. Never played with any others.

Something like that may work for you , considering your current location etc.

BTW do you know hard hard it is to find a toy stuffed squirrel in a store. I've seen a few on the net but only 1 in a store and it was one of those high-end educational toy stores that's all expensive and stuff. It was a hand puppet and cost like $45.00. I thought squirrels would be more popular.
