Hi.
Only found this site a few days ago, via Gordons' great camera reviews on youtube, so thought i'd join you.

My Father got me interested in photography when I was a kid. He let me help in his tiny darkroom, I was amazed when pictures magically appeared on the photographic paper. It was B&W only in those days.

He gave me my first camera when I was 18, a Yashika.

It's been quite a few years now since I was a keen(ish) amateur, when I had a Nikon FM, but for the last 5 years have been `making do` with a coolpix 5600, which has been mainly used for family snaps & holidays.

Not long ago I bought an Acuter ST20 60X80 scope for general wildlife viewing, (now I have a little bit of time spare) and am now looking for a camera to use with it. (hence searching/watching reviews by Gordon)

Do you have a thread dedicated to such a thing?

We have two sections which may be useful to you. If you're specificallt taliking about wildlife or taking pictures of wildlife, then use the wildlife section.

If you're wondering about the technicalities of mounting a camera to a scope of any type, then use the technical section.

Will you be reviewing the new Coolpix p7000 soon?

I hope to get most of the new Nikon compacts tested at some point, but I can't comment on specifics or timescales, sorry!
