Hi everyone! I have at 37 years young, decided to learn photography. I stumbled upon Gordon's video tutorials and eventually made my way here. Thanks Gordon for your videos

To call me a photographer would be stretching it pretty thin, but I am eager to learn none the less. Lack of skills and funds prevented me from going with a DSLR so I am packing a Canon SX 200 IS. [/b]

welcome to the forum!

You don't need expensive equipment to make great images, but the technical quality can be more satisfying. Sharpness and details for blow-ups and such.

In case you are not familiar with it already, you can have a look at the website called www.thebestcamera.com. If you click at "the best pictures", you can see some pretty neat pictures. And common for all of them are that they are taken with cellphones.

(I use that site to take courage when I yearn for even more equipment..lol...it..tempers me. But also reminds me that the answer is not more gear, but more practice..heh).
