Hello all, I'm Max from Wales in the UK.

Ive been looking to get into photography for many many years but have never really had the money to invest in decent kit to make it worth while. Having said that a few months ago I picked up an old Pentax slr with a couple of nice lenses, filters and a flash but ive been having trouble learning the correct settings for the compositions and paying for rolls of film only to find out my ideas are hit or miss is a frustrating time consuming and expensive situation as im sure you all understand. By joining this forum I hope to gain knowledge about photography in general and also utilise those amongst you with the knowledge to advise me in my search for a cheap point and shoot as well as a fantastic dslr for my needs as wella as entering the monthly assignments and generally becoming part of this wonderful community of like minded individuals.

Max. :D

The advantages of begining with film is that, if you go to digital later all the knowledge about correcting different kinds of light, exposures, etc... will be great advantages.Welcome Max!
