Well, about time to introduce myself.

I am a 21 year old Norwegian DSLR newbie. ;)

A little back story:
Small digital camera's which I have used the most have always bothered me when it comes to changing parameters. So bloody limited. So the DSLR bug started growing, it took some time however before I finally tried one. My brothers D60. Which I kinda liked the easily understandable UI on. Later I tried a D90 and compared it to a small digital camera to see what kind of performance I would manage to get out of them. Although understanding the principles of Exposure, ISO and F-stop, but not entirely DOF does not make results in favor of the DSLR at first try.
However, I did learn that D90 was a way to good camera to start with, so I did some research and ended up with a 450D with a kit lens. After some months with that configuration, a very common urge started growing, more lenses.
So I bought the two that resides in my signature. 24mm as an "overall" prime lens which I use the most, and the standard zoom for everything else.
After some time with this, focus started to bother me, I could never get that nice sharp focus manually through the viewfinder. So I absolutely had to use the live view and magnify, which gets you spot on, but sometimes that is just not a viable option.
So I moved over to 50D to get micro adjust among other things and I got to say, this camera I like a lot more!

Now since this forum is about camera's and photography we need a image to end the intro!

Welcome Lorride to the Camera Labs forum!
You're probably the first person who shoot fireworks at his camera...

I hope that's a joke Bjorn, or you've never seen light painting before?

Thanks everyone!

You are very right ;)
It's a "magnesium-lighter"/"sparkstick", very harmless sparks, great to work with though.

Ah, "Swedish steel"? :)

Also, quoting the previous post is actively discouraged, so if you reply to the last post made in a topic, please just use the reply button :)
