I have made several post in the panasonic forum, with questions related to the Lumix FZ35. Gordon, and a couple others quickly replyed with awnsers to my questions. Thanks

Which now brings me to a new question. Does anyone know right off hand where I can find a Simple to the point, step buy step example, or definitions of the features of a Compact Digital Camera, and what each feature does. With out haveing to read a 500 page book to get all the info?

This would be most helpful. I'd like something with pictures, and maybe examples of what each function does.

I'm looking to get my first good camera in a couple weeks. The Panasonic Lumix FZ35. I have the Full pdf manual, and I have browsed thru it already. I may try and read the whole manual before I get my camera, but not sure how much I'll retain, with out hands on experince along with the reading.

This is a very cool site, and look forward to reading, and chatting with you all.
Thanks for your help, and tips, time.

Welcome ncdigger1 to the Camera Labs forum!

As for some explanations on commonly used terms in photography, I'd suggest checking out the following thread by our beloved moderator Thomas:

And about reading the manual: I only did that when I got the camera. It's best to be able to actually press the buttons you read about.

Thanks for pointing that out. Thomas did a fine job putting this together. Your correct it's easyer to learn when you have some buttons to press wit the read along.
