Fujifilm’s FinePix S8000fd features a massive 18x optical zoom with an equivalent range of 27-486mm. The 8 Megapixel CCD sensor shifts to provide stabilisation and offer sensitivity from 64 to 6400 ISO, although 3200 and 6400 ISO are at a reduced resolution. The Face Detection system can lock onto ten subjects and the movie mode can capture VGA video at 30fps.

Fujifilm’s FinePix F50fd is the successor to the popular F30 / F31fd, sporting an increased resolution of 12 Megapixels with its Seventh Generation SuperCCD HR sensor. The sensor also shifts to provide stabilisation and offers sensitivity up to 1600 ISO at 12 Mpixels, and up to 6400 ISO at reduced resolution. The new face detection system locks onto ten subjects and the movie mode captures VGA video at 30fps.

Fujifilm’s FinePix Z10fd is a slim, metal-bodied 7.2 Megapixel compact available in seven colours including Hot Pink, Wasabi Green and Wave Blue, pictured here. It’s a real party camera with sensitivity up to 1600 ISO at full resolution, intelligent red-eye removal and face detection which can track up to ten subjects. Movie mode is only QVGA though and the 2.5in screen relatively coarse at 150k pixels.

Fujifilm's FinePix A820 features 8.3 Megapixel resolution, a 4X optical zoom, 10MB of internal memory and supports both xD and SD memory formats.
It can take 10cm close-ups, offers shutter speeds from 4 seconds to 1/1200 and sensitivity from 100 to 800 ISO. There's 14 scene presets including a Picture Stabilisation mode that reduces camera shake by increasing the ISO and there's also a 30 fps QVGA movie mode.
